Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is your standard lead time for CNC machined parts?
A: Our standard lead time for prototypes is typically 3-7 business days. For low-to-medium volume production runs, it usually takes 2-3 weeks depending on the design complexity, material availability, and surface finish requirements.
Q2: Can you work from a 2D drawing if I don't have a 3D CAD model?
A: Yes, we can work with 2D drawings in PDF or DXF formats. However, to speed up production and ensure maximum accuracy, providing a 3D model (STEP or IGES) is highly recommended. Our engineering team can also assist in converting 2D designs into 3D models.
Q3: What surface finishes do you provide for CNC parts?
A: We offer a comprehensive range of surface finishing options, including As-Machined, Sandblasting (Bead Blasting), Anodizing (Type II and Type III Hardcoat), Powder Coating, Electropolishing, Plating (Zinc, Nickel, Chrome), and Laser Etching.
Q4: How do you protect my intellectual property (IP)?
A: We take intellectual property security very seriously. We are fully prepared to sign a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before you share any drawings or project details. All files are encrypted and accessible only to authorized engineering personnel.
